Be Always Happy

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance.
Proverbs 15:13a

A cheerful countenance ~ doesn't this Victorian paper fit perfectly with the verse?  Be always happy.  Not something that we obviously feel every minute of the day.  But... are you generally a happy person?   I am ~ although my health is not good and I'm not financially well off.  Our life circumstances don't have to decide for us if we are going to have a cheerful outlook.  I choose to look for my blessings each day.  Family that loves me, my home, my church, snuggling with my grandchildren, flowers in the garden, a friend dropping by.  If your trials are consuming you, ask God to help you rise above them.  He may not take them away, but He'll help you get through them.  He's there for you, just reach out and He'll give you inner peace which in turn will show a cheerful countenance.

I have a couple of Victorian calling cards for you, with the original names on them, and in the cleaned up version.  I just love the old paper from this era.  Everything about it was beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by today my friends.  I hope you have a blessed weekend.

  1. Good morning, Abby. I'm going to print and frame "Be Always Happy" and put it on the wall with my crosses. I love what you wrote, Abby.

  2. A good Word, milady - and one I sorely need today as I whether some trials. That hilly ground I posted about on Sunday. God's Word has been ever present in my time of need, hope happens.

  4. So very true --- circumstances may not change because we pray, but we can be changed in how we view them and cope with them. Certainly doesn't hurt to count our blessings - that's for sure.

  6. Thanks for the lovely images. I have been looking for an image with red in it to use in my kitchen that I had repainted mustard yellow with white cabinets. My "stuff" is yellow, green, blue and red. I'll show you a picture when I'm done. Thanks!

  7. Those calling cards are gorgeous Abby! I am going to snag them right up. I want you to know that Angie from CPC sent my Mom the most beautiful card using one of your Vintage images. Until then, I wasn't really sure how to use them. Now I am inspired to give them a try. Have a blessed day.
