A Gift for Me and a Gift for You

The LORD is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him.
Psalm 28:7

Hello my friends, I trust you are having a good week.  I am excited to share with you that I have a "new" car.  I've been waiting patiently, and praying about it.  My previous mode of transportation was a 1994 mini van.  Granted, it was a "high end" model in it's day with all the bells and whistles, however it had become unreliable, the a/c was broken (did I mention I was born hot), and it was getting difficult to find cassette tapes to listen to. (are you laughing?)

My "new" car is a 2006, do you realize that's 11 years newer than the one I was driving.  It has a CD player (whoo hoo), a/c, and lots more features I haven't figured out yet.  That is what I'm thankful for today.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and cometh down from the Father of lights,
with whom is no variableness,
neither shadow of turning.
James 1:17

Here's another vintage Thanksgiving image for you.  Free as usual.

I trust you will have a blessed day.  If you leave comments you may notice I've added the feature where you have to type in the word you see.  I'm sorry to do that to you, but I was getting so much spam comments.  Thanks for your understanding.  I'll be back tomorrow with my Bible Verse Thursday.  The project was made by a very talented woman on the design team for Our Daily Bread Designs.  I can't wait to share it with you.

  4. What a blessing! I'll bet you are having fun checking out the features on your new car. Our family always drives used older models - I fear if I ever got a new model, it would be completely foreign to me - I would never figure out all those gizmos!

  5. Happy you got new wheels, I did too, last month! My car was 20 years old, had a collision last March failed NJ inspection for emissions, mechanic said don't put any more money into it, then she quit. I found a great company, (good people to work with), online "Junk My Car", who came and towed her away free, and paid me a fair price. I literally prayed, Please God, Help me get a car! He answered my prayers and I found a 2003 Ford, with low miles., AC works, and CD player too! He does supply our every need, if we just believe! Love, Linda
