A Fun Filled Weekend

How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity!
Psalm 133:1

We had a successful yard sale on Saturday.  Perfect weather with a gentle breeze.  I had forgotten how much work it is to have one.  My daughter and I did it together, made a little money and had a good time.  My neighbor had one as well so it was a happening place around here.

Fabric, costume jewelry, curtains, books, something for all
My neighbor's sale looked a little more inviting
The highlight of my weekend was my young neighbor trying on the vintage sparkly silver shoes I was selling, and finding they fit her perfectly.  I wish I could have captured her giggle of delight, because I'd play it over and over.  What a happy moment.  It was truly a moment which felt like Cinderella trying on the glass slipper.  Here she is modeling them, notice her sparkly silver shirt.  She later found a silver handbag on my daughter's table which had been used for a prom, in days gone by.

How cool is that?
I snagged these handcrafted planters at my neighbor's sale.  They are made from a tire.  I'll give them to my daughter for her new home.

Here are a few pictures from the 4th of July Parade, in the next town from us.  There was a big crowd of people with lots of festivities going on.

Ahh... back home, away from the crowds, slightly foggy, peaceful.
I Hope you had an enjoyable weekend as well.  I'll be back with more great vintage images to share with you.  Have a blessed day my friends.

  1. Good Morning, Abby! What a lovely weekend you had! Money-making yard sale and Americana parade under sunny skies - and home to a lake-view. Nice! I spent a good part of my weekend beginning the clean-out to fill boxes to have a yard sale - probably in another couple of weeks. We'll see how that goes. Blessings to you, milady!
    Joy!
