Photos of Children for You

Do not withhold your mercy from me, O Lord;
   may your love and your truth always protect me.
Psalm 40:11

It's been a while since I shared some images of children on here.  Going through some of my postcards, I came across these which picture siblings.  I always study their faces to see if they are related.  I can usually tell from their features.  Their noses will be the same, or their eyes.  In the case of the old postcards and photographs, having one's picture taken was a bit more formal than it is today.  So more than likely photos such as these were siblings.  These particular postcards are known as "real photo" as they are actual photographs with a postcard back.  They are usually more collectible than non photo cards.

My daughter and husband have a new home on their property.  I can't resist showing it to you.  I'm so happy for them.  They both have worked hard to get to this point in their lives.  God has truly blessed them.  And we've been equally blessed as they live about a mile away from us.  So so happy.

My daughter & son in law's new home

I trust you will have a wonderful summer day and are able to beat the heat.  Living in Maine most of our homes are not air conditioned and if they are, it's usually just one room or a section of the house.  We have more cold days than hot.  However I was really feeling the heat the last couple of days and the fans weren't quite cutting it.  Hoping for a cooler day.

  4. Abby these are so cute. Love the two little girls. My eldest granddaughter is darker than baby so reminds me of them What a beautiful house for your daughter and son in law. God is good! We may have a 3rd grandbaby soon as she is already dilating, efaced and head down. Mild contractions. Keep her in your prayers she is now on bed rest as much as she can to try to wait a little longer.

  6. Abby, these pictures remind me of my grandmother's dresser which displayed many photos of her youth. Now my mom has many of those same pics plus some from my father's family. You can certainly see the family resemblance of my children, especially my son!
    Hope you are staying cool this afternoon. It's a very warm day today for us here in northern Calif.! Blessings!!
