Hannah from Radical Femininity contacted me about reviewing a Lilla Rose hair product and offering a giveaway for my readers. I immediately thought of my daughter Bethany and asked her if she'd enjoy trying out a hair clip? She certainly has the hair for it. She jumped at the chance and selected the beautiful clip you see pictured here. 

Here's what Bethany had to say about the hair clip she selected.

As a stay at home mom to four children, time spent on my hair is on the bottom of my priority list. The usual routine for my hair was to put it in a messy bun each morning. I was excited to try this beautiful flexi clip from Lilla Rose and found it took the same amount of time as my old style. However, with a lot more sophistication than a hair tie. My hair stayed up all day and looked pretty. 

My favorite method to use with the clip is to start with a regular ponytail, wrap around like a bun and put the clip in. There are two parts to the clip, but they are made in such a way they stay together. A real bonus for this mom. 

One morning I woke up and realized I’d slept with my clip in all night and didn’t even realize it. Yes, it’s that comfortable.  There are varying sizes depending on the thickness of your hair. Which is explained well on the website. I highly recommend the Lilla Rose Flexi Clip.

I love the words in this particular Scripture passage. This goes along with my Ladies Bible Study and I'll be giving each of the ladies one of these today. They look forward each week to these treasures from God's word.

We have been studying "Into the Word" by Anne Graham Lotz. You can find it on christianbook.com (CBD) or amazon.com It's a wonderful in depth study workbook that has weekly lessons for a full year. Be prepared for some "homework". If you weren't familiar with your Bible before you started this study, you will certainly be more familiar with God's word by the time you finish.

Think on These Things

Have you ever had troubling thoughts that consume your mind and you just can't shake them? I certainly have.  Our thoughts can affect the way we feel. Speculating about things that haven’t happened, what someone might be thinking about us, or dwelling on a situation where someone has wronged us.

These all drag us down and cause negative feelings. I am someone who can easily be overcome with anxiety, worrying about what “might” happen. When I feel my mind pulling me in that direction, I try and remember this scripture and focus my thoughts on what is:

true and real, 

right and pure, 

lovely and admirable, 

excellent and praiseworthy.

This is a scripture we need, to clear our minds and focus on the wonderful blessings that God has given us. Training your minds to go in this direction will relieve us of unnecessary stress and give us more peace in everything we do. Why not memorize this verse and "hide it in your heart". It will always be there to draw on when you need the reminder.

Finally, brethren, 

whatsoever things are true, 

whatsoever things are honest, 

whatsoever things are just, 

whatsoever things are pure, 

whatsoever things are lovely, 

whatsoever things are of good report; 

if there be any virtue, 

and if there be any praise, 

think on these things. 

Philippians 4:8
