Great is Thy Faithfulness

This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope.
Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:21-23

That's a WOW verse for me.

The Lord's love, goodness, forgiveness, truth and compassions keep us from being consumed by the troubles this world has to offer.

His mercies NEVER end, they are NEW every morning.

We can always have HOPE through our FAITH that He keeps all of His promises.

Early morning is a quiet and peaceful time for me.  The sun rises, and changes the morning from dusk to dawn, the birds begin singing praises to their creator.  Everything starts fresh and new.  It’s as if the darkness of the night buries any of my previous day’s troubles.  Morning brings a fresh new beginning.

This is one of my favorite scriptures.  There are so many promises in just this one passage.  I have it on my bureau where I can see it every morning and be reminded that God’s faithfulness to me is GREAT.

We don't have to let our troubles consume us.  God knows; has unfailing compassion, and makes everything new each morning; a beautiful fresh start.   The timeless hymn, Great is Thy Faithfulness, was written by Thomas Chisholm in 1923 and seems to be based on Lamentations 3:21-23.

Here are some of the lyrics.
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Beautiful. I see we have thought similar thinks this week. How're you doing? On the mend and feeling the improvements? I know by nature of the injury that it can be a long process of healing, though I am praying that the Lord will put a turbo boost in it for you!

One of the truly great hymns of all time, and just at the right time. It really touched my heart this morning. Those images are just perfect as well. The "Strength for Today" image with the blue flowers is my favorite (had to snag that one). Thanks so much for sharing, blessing and encouraging.
Love you, my sister and friend.

I chose this hymn to sing at my husband's funeral 11 wks. ago tomorrow. I also sing it to myself often for peace, comfort & strength.
