Angels from the Realms of Glory
James Montgomery 1816
Angels from the realms of glory,
Wing your flight o’er all the earth;
Ye who sang creation’s story
Now proclaim Messiah’s birth.
James Montgomery 1816
Angels from the realms of glory,
Wing your flight o’er all the earth;
Ye who sang creation’s story
Now proclaim Messiah’s birth.
Come and worship, come and worship,
Worship Christ, the newborn King.
Worship Christ, the newborn King.
Shepherds, in the field abiding,
Watching o’er your flocks by night,
God with us is now residing;
Yonder shines the infant light:
Watching o’er your flocks by night,
God with us is now residing;
Yonder shines the infant light:
Though an Infant now we view Him,
He shall fill His Father’s throne,
Gather all the nations to Him;
Every knee shall then bow down:
He shall fill His Father’s throne,
Gather all the nations to Him;
Every knee shall then bow down:
All creation, join in praising
God, the Father, Spirit, Son,
Evermore your voices raising
To th’eternal Three in One.
Come and worship, come and worship,
Worship Christ, the newborn King.
God, the Father, Spirit, Son,
Evermore your voices raising
To th’eternal Three in One.
Come and worship, come and worship,
Worship Christ, the newborn King.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude
of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Luke 2:13-14

ReplyDeleteAbby, thank you for these beautiful images and the music. Wishing you blessing during this advent time. Joyous Wishes, Linda
ReplyDeleteThat has always been one of my favorite carols despite the "discussions" about whether angels have wings. ☺ Beautiful Christmas graphics, too. They just don't make them as lovely anymore.
ReplyDeleteThese last two posts are beautiful! You post such beautiful graphics. So often I wish I could have heard the angels sing.
ReplyDeletePraise God that he took on the form of a man, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures! I thank the Lord each day for doing this for me and the whole world! May the angels keep singing for all eternity!
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE this song, and your sweet angels are just about the most gorgeous things I've seen in a long time. I can just picture them, through what you've shared, gathering round the Babe as He lay in his Mother's arms. What a sight it must have been. Thanks for sharing this. I almost felt like I was there.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a blessing, Abby. I just prayed for you yesterday, but since I'm stoping by today - it's a great time to pray now! Thanks for blessing me my friend.
