Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me!
For my soul trusts in You;
And in the shadow of Your wings
I will make my refuge,
For my soul trusts in You;
And in the shadow of Your wings
I will make my refuge,
Until these calamities have passed by.
Psalm 57:1
Often times God demonstrates His faithfulness in adversity by providing for us what we need to survive. He does not change our painful circumstances. He sustains us through them.

Beautiful graphic and lovely reminder that God is with us, and stays with us, in whatever we face.

He sustains us in adversity, I like that thought.

This is such a lovely sentiment to encourage our family and friends. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWhat peace there is in knowing that, no matter what the circumstances are, our faithful God is always there working for the good of those who love Him!
ReplyDeleteI first read this post on a morning when the "calamity" of my mother's Alzheimer's seemed a heavy burden indeed. So sweet to picture the Lord sheltering us; a wonderful picture of leaning close to our Lord's side as we wait for the storm to pass. Thank you Abby, thank You Lord!
