God shields us from most of the things we fear,
but when He chooses not to shield us,
He unfailingly allots grace in the measure needed.
It is for us to choose to receive or refuse it.
Our joy or our misery will depend on that choice.
but when He chooses not to shield us,
He unfailingly allots grace in the measure needed.
It is for us to choose to receive or refuse it.
Our joy or our misery will depend on that choice.

I really love this Elisabeth Elliot quote. It's beautiful, and one we should all remember. I also love the Victorian image. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Abby - a super quote - the wisdom of which we should ever keep before us. So nice to see all your lovelies on Pinterest each week. I don't get on as much as I'd like - talk about addicting - but there is always beauty and inspiration to be had there. And don't we need large doses of each, daily!
ReplyDeleteJoy to you!

Wow, what a beautiful image and quote. Elisabeth Elliot definitely has a fascinating story. I can't even imagine what it would be like to develop writing for unwritten languages. Her story about the Quichua tribe is very interesting as well.
ReplyDeleteAbout a year ago I spent some time watching youtube videos for music from Ecuador as I love the sound of their flutes. They sort of remind me of a smaller version of the huge pipe organ we had at the church I went to when I was a kid. I don't know why as they sound very different - lol! :)
What a beautiful and thoughtful quote. The advertising card is so sweet. I love her expression :) -Al
