I’m doing something a little different today for Scripture Thursday. I’m going back into my archives and pulling some of my favorite devotions and graphics. Since there are many new readers to my blog, and it’s not likely they would spend a day sifting through all my posts, I’m reviving some of these.
We all have different seasons of life where one devotion may speak to us one day and not another. Perhaps even if you’ve read some of these before, it may be just what you needed to hear today. You can click on each graphic to be taken to that devotion.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
II Corinthians 12:9-10

Thanks so much for stopping by dear friends. I’d love to hear which devotion or scripture spoke to you the most. Or perhaps you have another devotion I’ve shared that’s your favorite. Speak
up, don’t be shy – I’m not the only one who reads the comments and
yours might just be the encouragement that someone needs.

ReplyDeleteAbby, it's too hard to pick just one -- especially since it seems all of them come at "just the right time!"

Hi Abby!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the scriptures, and the beautiful graphics! Both scriptures are favourites of mine, but the hymn Amazing Grace is particularly heartfelt... it is a favourite hymn in my family, and always played when someone is called Home. Thank you for envoking warmth, strength and precious memories!
hugs and blessings,
Pauline
These are such wonderful scriptures, Abby, and you've showcased and shared them so beautifully. I remind myself every day that His grace is always sufficient; even when my flesh wants to say otherwise. He is SO GOOD. I woke up with some back pain this morning (on vacation in Cali), but just called out to Him in prayer through scripture, and I'm already up and walking. Yes, it's ALWAYS sufficient, and He is SO GOOD. Thanks for the encouragement this morning.
ReplyDeletePraise His precious name!

I was sure I'd already left a comment on this post -- but I don't see it????
ReplyDeleteGuess I'll just leave it again!
It would be hard for me to pick just one of your devotions as a favorite. It's amazing how you seem to share just what I'm needing when I need it -- I'm thinking God has something to do with that! :)
Thanks for taking the time to make this oasis in blog world and for all the lovely freebies you share with us!
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing these scripture/pictures with us.
