I absolutely adore this photograph. Being a pianist, I enjoy anything music related in the vintage images. Can you imagine how wonderful it would have been to sit there and listen to these ladies. What a treat! I have added scripture to this old photo below.

The Bible has many references to music and praising God. Here's another one that I like.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Psalm 150:3-6
Can you sing? If you're singing to Praise God, your voice is a sweet sound to him no matter your pitch. Do you play an instrument? If you are playing to Praise God, your song is sweet regardless of the wrong notes, or the fact that someone can play it better.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend my friends. My town is filled with festivities tomorrow for our annual "St. George Days" complete with a fantastic show of fireworks. I'll be first in line for our annual Library book sale with my tote bags (and husband) in hand. He gets to carry my books.
Abby - This is a fantastic photo! I could study it and all the wonderful historical details for just hours! The scripture is perfect! I know I'll use it in an upcoming post - I might have to create a special subject just to feature it! Oh, Abby, this is so absolutely perfect for a very special someone in my church. She is our Music Director, she can play any instrument and has the voice of an angel. She directs six choirs in our church, all ages! She will love this. I'm gong to put it in a little frame. Thank you so much, Abby.
