For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11
plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11
A friend recently brought to my attention a song titled Trust His Heart. Two sections of the lyrics stood out to me:
He sees the master plan; He holds the future in His hands.
And
We see the present clearly; He sees the first and the last.
He sees the master plan; He holds the future in His hands.
And
We see the present clearly; He sees the first and the last.
Be assured that God is ALL knowing. He not only knows our future, He sees the BIG picture, the master plan. His ways are not our ways and circumstances will happen that we can’t understand. But HE understands, and that’s all we need. Our God, who spoke the universe into existence, cares about YOU. He knows the number of hairs on your head.
My friend’s 30-year-old son was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. As she has cared for him through surgery, and now chemotherapy and radiation, I see her faith in God unwavering and still growing stronger. She says: I don't know what is in our future but I do know that God does.
A favorite hymn of both my husband and myself is I Know Who Holds Tomorrow. Here’s the first verse and chorus of that hymn. If you’re not familiar with it, you’ll see why it’s a favorite.

I don't know about tomorrow, I just live from day to day.
I don't borrow from it's sunshine, for it's skies may turn to gray. I don't worry o'er the future, for I know what Jesus said, And today I'll walk beside Him, for He knows what is ahead.
Many things about tomorrow, I don't seem to understand;
But I know Who holds tomorrow, and I know Who holds my hand.

Beautiful layout and sentiments Abby. Thanks for sharing those wonderful songs.
ReplyDeleteThis is a favorite song os mine too. It brings back memories. When my husband was 25 and the picture of health, we found out he was a heartbeat away from a massive heart attack. We were told he needed 3 bypasses and had the heart of a 75 year old man. They gave him 6 - 8 years to live. We had two daughters age 1 and 2 and had only been married 5 years.
ReplyDeleteA few days before his surgery I sang a special in church, my first one and it was this song. I began to cry as I sang because the words rang so true. The Lord brought him thru. The Lord has shown Himself strong in my husbands life throughout the years and it has been nothing short of miraculous, proving the doctors wrong. He will be 59 next week and I praise the Lord for all these years. We still face challenges but I pray the Lord will show He is the Great Physician and we will share many more years together.
Thank you for the words that are needed today!! You simply amaze me in your thoughts and your precious pictures...thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning page. And yes Our God is an Awesome God. I can not image life without HIM.
