Peaceful Photo with Scripture

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16

Would you believe that this beautiful peaceful scene is a hop, skip and a jump down the road from my home?  I was walking the other day with my camera, and stopped to enjoy a view I pass by every day.  We're surrounded with beauty, but sometimes the fast pace of life prevents us from enjoying it.  Find some beauty in creation today and pause to enjoy it.

Karen at Papercraft Memories generously offers free scripture WORDart in png or jpg format that you can easily put into any of your photos or projects.  The verse in this photo is her art work.  Thanks Karen.

What are some of the beautiful things of God's creation that you see every day?

  1. This IS a LOVELY photo Abby!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing it with us! :)Some of the beauty I see everyday? We too live in a GORGEOUS AREA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE the landscape of rolling mountains, the trees, the flowers, the butterflies, the birds, the road winding through the trees....BUT, there are THE ANIMALS!!!!!!!! They come into our yard up close to the house! ONCE, we had an elk! It was HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lately, lots of deer! Even a BAMBI a few weeks back! Sometimes, if it's been awhile since seeing any animals, I just say a little prayer & not long after there appears one of God's creations!

  2. Wow, what a beautiful view, Abby! We are surrounded by mountains, and it takes my breath away just about every day. I am amazed at the beauty of God's creation and to think that Creator is also my friend! Thanks for the freebie. Have a great day!

  3. I see nothing that tranquil or lovely from nature, though I've always been delighted that my neighbor has a Queen Anne style home that he and his wife maintain beautifully.

  4. I love the photo- it is so beautiful!! I see trees, birds and a wonderful blue sky so many times but I take it for granted so many times. Thanks for this reminder of the amazing nature God has created, but so many times I overlook it. Wonderful post!!

  5. Wow Abby, such a beautiful view! I'm so grateful that my family has been able to spend more time outdoors this summer. We just got back from the Sleeping Bear Dunes and also spent some time with my parents in Ludington. It's so beautiful up there!

Things that I see every day and have a lot of gratitude for are weeds. Yes this sounds very funny because most people consider weeds to be a nuisance. A lot of the things growing here in the US were actually brought over by the Europeans! I love clover, lambs quarters, purslane, etc. Many of the edible wild plants have a much higher nutritional value than lettuce or spinach. From what I've read, these "weeds" are sold as vegetables in European markets! So I have gratitude for the wonderful bounty of God's free goodies that abound in my area. :o)

  6. This is so gorgeous, Abby. You are fortunate to live near such beauty. I am happy to have a little piece of woods behind our backyard, which is uncommon for our area of the suburbs. My dream is to live further out in the countryside. Thank you for this lovely printable and for the link to Papercraft Memories. I had never been there before. What a great sourch for scripture WordArt.

  8. Lovely corner of your world Abby and thank you for sharing!
The world is full of God's marvelous gifts! As an artist I always thought His palette astonishing and since I have been blessed with much traveling, I will add never ending! There are too many things around us for which we should be thankful so I just lump it in a 'Thanks for everything' sort of way!
Comment # 5 is the first one to acknowledge 'good' weeds! Bravo!
Blessings Abby to you and yours,

  10. Thank you for sharing the photo and the WordArt - it is beautiful. For me the creation that I really love around me is hearing the bird song - in particular our native Bell Bird - it is beautiful.

  11. The graphic is just beautiful. So serene. It really does speak of God's peace.

I have been blessed so many times by the beauty of God's creation. We live in NH -- just in between the lakes region and the White Mountains -- and are surrounded by beauty everywhere we look. Our home is in a wooded area and I have noticed so much this year the beautiful, calming shades of green. Last Friday my hubby unexpectedly had the day off and we took a picnic to a favorite park at lunch time. It was an overcast day and the shades of green seemed to stand out even more as we picnicked by a little pond and just drank in the peacefulness and serenity of our surroundings. God is so good to give us His wonderful peace in the midst of such an upside-down world. His blessed peace truly does surpass our understanding.

  13. Beautiful picture, Abby. Reminds me of the song "Don't Let Me Miss The Glory" --- my prayer! Don't want to get so wrapped up in my busy life that I don't take time to savor God's work of love all around me!
