And the angel said unto them,
Fear not: for, behold, I bring you
good tidings of great joy,
which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day
in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:10-11

The good tidings of great joy that the Shepherds heard so long ago, is still good tidings of great joy to us today. Their Savior, is our Savior. God loves you with an everlasting love and has not forgotten you. Reach out to him through your physical pain, emotional pain, or through whatever trial has come to you. He is there and wants to help you.
He might not deliver you from your trial, but he'll be there with you through the trial. Think of Daniel who was thrown into the lions den (Daniel 6), or the men in the fiery furnace (Daniel 3).
Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?”
They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.”
“Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
Daniel 3:24-25
God is there, walking with us through the fire dear ones, just reach out and take His hand.
