Scripture Photo Collage

From the rising of the sun
unto the going down of the same
the Lord's name is to be praised.
Psalm 113:3

Have you ever watched a sunrise or sunset on the water.  It's a magnificent sight to see.  In the home I used to live in, the ocean was directly across the street and I watched the most beautiful sunrises so many mornings.  It was if the sun literally rose up out of the ocean.

The photo on the right in this collage was a picture I took of a sunset.  The same happens, only in reverse.  The sun just seems to slowly disappear into the ocean.  It's breathtaking.

I am linking this to Vee's October Notecard Party, where we link up four photographs that would make good notecards.  I chose these particular four photos that I took, as they reminded me of fall and the colors that it brings.

The first photo is a yellow begonia.  I edited this to make just the begonia have color so it would "pop" out of the photo.  What do you think?

This photo was taken at sunset in a warm summer evening in Maine

At the Botanical Gardens in Boothbay Maine.  The women in my family gathered there at the end of August to celebrate my mother's birthday.  I was able to capture this butterfly on the daisies.

Just a patch of big daisies.  Beauty in the simple things.

That's all for today.  Thanks Vee for hosting the note card party.    Hope you all enjoy this display of God's creation.

  1. Love the yellow begonia with just the yellow popping. The sunset on the water...I see that it is behind some hills so you weren't on the Pacific coast...is so pretty. I have only seen one or two sunsets at the ocean. And the simple things are certainly as beautiful as the more complicated ones. Thanks so much for participating!

  4. A beautiful selection of photos for your note cards. Your editing of the begonia is excellent. It really does appear to pop out from the picture. Lovely.

  5. Hi Abby! Back - finally - with some posts this week - though burning the midnight oil to do so. Got to get some balance in this new project work life of mine!! Meanwhile - loving what you've done her to illustrate the verse with His own Creation - stunner of a sunset! And - how grand your photo tricks! I don't know that I have the polished program to achieve this sort of thing - and I know I don't have the play time to experiment. Homeschool is keeping me maxed out. Hope to iron the kinks out this semester and flow better in the new year - we shall see.

Nice to keep up with you on fb!
    Joy!

  16. Just plain out lovely. I love the closeups just as much as the sunset one, but that one made me want to head to the beach and enjoy the view. Unfortunately, we only get the sunrise over the water here.

  23. Stunning photos, so beautiful! I particularly like the painted Lady butterfly, difficult to capture on film at times! God is amazing and to think people believe His creation was just random chance through evolution.....! TFS!
