Serve the LORD with gladness:
come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the LORD he is God:
it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations.

This particular Psalm, is one of the Bible's songs of Thanksgiving. It is a song of praise and thankfulness to God for all he has done for us. This scripture tells us we belong to God, He made us. We should be serving him with gladness, praise and an attitude of thankfulness, regardless of our circumstances.
I know many who have suffered and are suffering great trials and in the midst of their trial can see the Lord at work. I have seen it myself and you probably have too in your personal trials or through those you love.
As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, let's search our hearts (myself included) and give it a tune up so we have a heart of thankfulness and praise to our heavenly father by default.
A heart in tune with God sings melodies of praise. Here is a verse from the hymn Ye Servants of God, written by famous hymnwriter Charles Wesley in 1744. You can click on his picture below to read more about him and see a list of some of the 6,000+ hymns he wrote.

Then let us adore and give Him His right,
All glory and power, all wisdom and might;
All honor and blessing with angels above,
And thanks never ceasing and infinite love
I have made a couple different scripture graphics using my vintage images. I hope you enjoy them. They would make a nice Thanksgiving card by printing out and adhering to card-stock. They could also be used as place cards at your Thanksgiving table.
What are you thankful for? I am thankful for my family, most of who live near me. I am thankful for God's provisions, which are new every morning.
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

I can see these images being used for place cards on the Thanksgiving table! I think my grands would find it fun to ride a turkey. =)
