Perfect in Weakness

Are there days when you are left emotionally, physically and mentally exhausted?  I'm sure there are! Perhaps every day is like that for you. The above scripture from 2 Corinthians 12:9 gives us a promise that:

HIS GRACE is SUFFICIENT
It’s enough!!
It’s the perfect amount.
HIS POWER is made PERFECT in weakness.

No matter our trials, praise is possible. I know this because I've experienced it. When I've reached out to God for help and strength, He has NEVER failed me. I am strongest (through Him) when I am emotionally, physically and mentally the weakest. I am thankful to God for allowing me to have the various trials I've had over the years.

I guarantee without my trials, there would be no "Little Birdie Blessings", a blog of Christian encouragement. I wouldn't be empathetic toward others, and I certainly wouldn't have a heart for women's ministry.

Elizabeth Prentiss, born 1818 in my home state of Maine had this to say about her trials:

Much of my experience of life has cost me a great price and I wish to use it for strengthening and comforting other souls.   You can read more about this great woman of faith here: Elizabeth Prentiss

The graphic I used in this post was one of the first digital graphics I made, about 5 years ago. It makes me happy to look at it. The WORDart was designed by Karen at Papercraft Memories  You can find lots of free WORDart on her blog.

Thank you for visiting today. I trust and pray you will be encouraged by God's word and claim this as one of the verses for your own life.

  4. Thank you Abby - this is gorgeous - and timely. I have been having a pity party as DD and family have shared their 'summer cold' and I am currently not a happy camper. God is good no matter how I am feeling!
