To love God is to love His will.
It is to wait quietly for life to be measured
by One who knows us through and through.
It is to be content with His timing
and His wise appointment.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil,
to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV
Blessings to you all on this Sunday morning. Thanks to Dawn, from The Feathered Nest for this lovely graphic which seems to fit perfectly with the quote and scripture. You can see the expression on the woman's face as if she's pondering and waiting quietly for what God has planned for her.
Yes, we do know that ultimately He will work everything out according to His highest purpose. It's just the in-between that gets a bit sticky. When I think of Elisabeth, I hope that her days are content despite all that swirls about her...
ReplyDelete(This is not my idea of a "slow melt" ! At this rate, we'll be all caught up with the calendar by Tuesday. Ha! )
Abby, love that first quote (going into my 'special' notebook!) and the sepia painting!

ReplyDeleteI was blessed by this post dear Abby. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI am tickled to find your beautiful blog. I tried to sign up for emails, because it would be so uplifting to get these gems in my email, but I got an error message that says "This blog does not have email feeds enabled." Is there a way you can change that, or are other people getting email feeds in spite of that message? Of course I was attracted here because my nickname is Bluebirdie,
ReplyDeleteGod bless,
Sheila
