This is a picture I took a couple winters ago of the view across from my home.  Winter mornings bring the most magnificent sunrises and no two are ever the same.  It reminds of the hymn above, Great is Thy Faithfulness, which is based on the verse in this photo, Lamentations 3:22-23. 

Morning by morning new mercies I see.

This past weekend we had a family Christmas with our kids, their spouses and all our grandchildren.  Since some live a couple of hours away, it's a treat to have everyone together.  The cousins loved playing together, and of course all the littles love to see their Grandpa.
