I said a Birthday Prayer for you -
And I asked the Lord above
To keep you safely in his care
And enfold you in his love -
I did not ask for fortune,
For riches or for fame,
I only asked for blessings
In the Savior's Holy name -
Blessings to surround you
In times of trial and stress,
And inner joy
To fill your heart
With Peace and Happiness.

I attended a "Hello Kitty" 3 year old birthday party this weekend for my grand-daughter. A wonderful time was had by all and she was very excited helping her mother plan the cake.
My friend Lisa had a birthday and loves the color pink, I decided to make a card for her using one of the graphics I'd previously made. Here's how her card came out.
You can find the bleeding heart graphic that is pictured on the card above, **here**.
Here's one more vintage birthday postcard freebie for you.
Hope you have enjoyed this pink birthday post. Have a wonderful day.

ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely birthday poem. Glad that the birthday girl had a great day! I'm grinning to imagine the thrill of helping to plan her own cake. You know I love graphics with wee houses...consider it snagged!
ReplyDeleteYour card is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for you that you have a granddaughter! I can just picture her so excitedly helping her mother.
My younger daughter also likes Hello Kitty, but she is MUCH older than your granddaughter...she is in her teens.
:) Hope

Hi Abby!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know that your posting of the beautiful Helen Steiner Rice poem came just at the right time for me to add to a RAK card I was making for a lady who is celebrating a birthday and who is having some serious health issues, as well. The poem said just what I wanted to say to her and I believe it will be a blessing to her. Many thanks for all your wonderful uplifting posts!
In Our Savior's Name
What a lovely birthday party, and such pretty freebies!
ReplyDeleteI have always enjoyed Helen Steiner Rice's poetry-ever since I was a little girl.
One of her poems about Jesus as the Unseen guest, had a profound impact on me even though I wasn't very old.
Hi Abby, I too love vintage cards and the Helen Steiner Rice poem is so perfectly lovely. Pretty pinks to share today.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy pink Sat. and Happy Father's Day weekend.
xo, Jeanne
